One Day Throwing Course – £150

10:00am – 4:00pm

Suitable for complete beginners and those with some previous throwing experience.

Whether you're trying the potter's wheel for the first time or looking to build on existing skills, this one-day course is designed to help you develop your throwing techniques in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Classes are kept small, with a maximum of six people, and each participant has their own dedicated potter's wheel.

If you're a complete beginner, you'll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, starting with cylinders in the morning before moving on to bowls in the afternoon.

If you've taken classes before, you'll follow the initial demonstration before working on the techniques and forms that you'd like to improve, with individual guidance throughout the day.

You can expect to keep up to three pieces, which will be glazed in a colour of your choice by our studio technician.

The class breaks for lunch from 12:30pm–1:30pm. Please bring a packed lunch or take advantage of the many nearby cafés.

All clay, glaze and firing costs are included.

Please read our Terms and Conditions (available in the Classes drop-down menu) before booking. You will be asked to confirm that you have read and agreed to them during the booking process.

A reminder email confirming your class date, time and any additional information will be sent a few days before your course to the email address provided when booking.
