Throwing Taster Class - Beginners

£90

Join us for a fun and immersive two-and-a-half-hour introductory session designed to give you a hands-on experience with clay and the potter’s wheel. You’ll learn essential techniques such as centering the clay and throwing basic shapes like cylinders and bowls—all with your own dedicated wheel in a small class of no more than six students.

You’ll have the opportunity to keep up to two of your favourite creations, which will be carefully twice-fired and glazed in your choice of colour by our skilled studio technician. The glazing and firing process usually takes around 3 to 4 weeks, after which we’ll notify you by email when your pieces are ready for collection.

This session is a perfect way to discover whether wheel throwing is a craft you’d like to pursue further in more in-depth courses, or simply to enjoy a relaxed, creative experience working with clay.

All materials, including clay, glaze, and firing, are included in the price. Please review the Terms and Conditions under the “Classes” menu before booking, as agreement is required to confirm your place. This class is open to anyone aged 16 and over.
