6 Week Pottery Course - Intermediate

£300

This course is designed for potters who have already completed a beginners class at a recognised pottery studio or college and are ready to take their skills to the next level.

Aimed at confident makers, sessions focus on more specialised ceramic forms such as lidded vessels, tall jars, planters, and plates. You’ll refine your techniques and develop your own creative direction, with the option to hand-build or throw on the wheel. Tutor demonstrations and one-to-one guidance will support you throughout, whether you prefer to work independently or under closer instruction.

Classes run once a week for 2.5 hours in small groups of up to six students, ensuring plenty of individual attention and access to the tutor. The course also includes specialist technique projects, sessions with tutors of varied expertise, and instruction in advanced glaze application.

Clay, glaze, and firing are charged at £10 per kilo once pieces have been turned and are at the leather-hard stage.

Please read the Terms and Conditions under the Classes menu before booking — you’ll be asked to confirm your agreement when reserving your place.
