This course runs once a week for two and a half hours over a 6-week period, giving you the time and space to build your skills and confidence on the pottery wheel.
You’ll learn the foundations of wheel-throwing, including centring clay, pulling up walls, shaping forms, and finishing techniques. As the course progresses, you'll also explore trimming and glazing, with the opportunity to create your own functional pieces such as bowls, mugs, or small vases.
Each attendee will have their own dedicated potters wheel, with a maximum of 6 people per class. You pay one fee for the clay, glaze and firing at the leather-hard stage after the work has been turned, this rate is currently £10 per kilo.

You're welcome to keep as much of your work from the course as you like. Any pieces you choose to keep will be weighed at the leather-hard stage, after trimming. A fee of £10 per kilo applies, which covers the cost of clay, glazes, and both firings. We encourage students to be thoughtful about what they choose to keep, focusing on pieces they're proud of or would like to see finished.
