Suitable for complete newcomers to clay, or people looking to expand their skills after a beginners course. This course runs once a week on Tuesday mornings (10am) and evenings (6:30pm), for two and half hours over a 6 week period.

This course is perfect for people looking to learn both throwing on the wheel and hand-building within one 6 week course. The tutor will provide an introduction to the pottery studio as well as a demonstration in both practices as part of your induction. You can then choose to focus on a specific area for the remainder of your course. Classes are kept small with a maximum of 6 students, ensuring quality teaching time for all participants and an intimate learning experience.

Continuing students or students with experience, in discussion with the tutor, will have the opportunity to develop their own project and areas of interest; this will include agreeing individual objectives and making a plan to achieve outcomes.

There will be essential Health and Safety advice in the first week and ongoing instruction as required during the course. You are advised to arrive on time and not to miss a class as the courses are structured so you learn progressively and consistently.
